General Management  

A1 General Manager

Chief executive officer of the District. Responsibilities include supervision of all managerial personnel including operation of the facility and all administrative offices. Compliance with all state and federal permit regulations as well as coordination of all policy enactments legislated by the Board. Requires a master degree in business administration or public administration as well as strong understanding of the theory and practice of wastewater treatment and five years of administrative experience.
 

A2 Attorney

The legal counsel for the District should be available to answer questions for the Board of Trustees, the General Manager and other employees of the District which have legal implications. In addition, the legal counsel should attend all meeting of the Board of Trustee to respond to questions that arise during the meeting and to report on the status of all legal matters. The legal counsel should review all contracts prior to execution by the General Manager or the members of the Board of Trustees. The legal counsel should review and respond to questions regarding the District ordinances and rules and regulations and procedures. All litigation, or threatened litigation, should be referred to legal counsel immediately for further handling or for consultation with employees regarding appropriate responses to third parties


Administration

B1 Administration Manager

Provides general direction and overall supervision of all the District's financial, administrative and business support functions. Develops and recommends business policies and practices which may include such areas as personnel policies, wages and benefits, investment practices, purchasing and budget. Reports to General Manager. May supervise accounting or administrative supervisors or department heads. Requires advanced management skills gained through broad and intensive experience in all aspects of the profession. Completion of a bachelor's degree with specialization in business, accounting or public administration is desirable,
 

B2 Administration Supervisor

Responsible for the day to day operations of the District's financial, administrative and business support functions. Supervises general office staff which may include secretarial, accounting and clerical employees. Develops and recommends business policies and practices which may include such areas as personnel, purchasing, finance and insurance. Reports to Administration Manager or General Manager. Requires advanced management skills gained through a broad and intense experience in most aspects of the profession. Completion of college level and professional courses in related fields is desirable.
 

B3 Secretary

Performs secretarial duties which are complex. Duties include those of Secretary, Intermediate, but involve independent judgment and responsibility. May take/transcribe considerable dictation using shorthand, speed writing or machine. Operates word processing equipment. Composes correspondence from rough notes or independently from knowledge of circumstances. Formats, compiles and prepares reports, analyzes and selects data from various sources for special projects. May act as lead secretary responsible for scheduling, training and reviewing the work of support staff. Usually requires a high school education, three or four years of related experience and ability to type quickly and accurately.
 

B4 Word Processor

Under direct supervision, operates word processing unit to handle special documents requiring the use of all the machine's text editing functions, in addition to performing the more routine functions of word processing. Meets established standards and is familiar with department terminology and organizational practices. May maintain production records and proofread. Usually requires a high school education and a minimum of one year word processing experience.
 

B5 Receptionist

Under direct supervision, receives outside visitors, directs or escorts visitors or employees to their destination. Furnishes information to callers. May verify or make appointments, check credentials, issue visitor passes, log in visitors, operate a small switchboard, receive or mail packages, type or do related clerical work. Usually requires a high school education.
 

B6 Data Processing Supervisor

Performs responsible professional work of considerable complexity in which substantial latitude is allowed in making decisions, planning, supervising and coordinating activities with respect to the operation of the Data Processing Department. Activities include: designing system hardware/software configurations; developing system application programming specifications, documentation standards and bid specifications for hardware and/or software; coordinating all information systems services among departments; supervising all phases of data processing responsibilities. Requires a B.A. degree or technical training/experience equivalent.
 

B7 Systems Analyst

Under direst supervision, assists in formulating systems scope and objectives through research and fact finding to develop or modify a data processing system. Prepares specifications from which programs will be written. Assists in analyzing and revising existing system logic problems. Works on several phases of systems analysis, requires some instruction and guidance in other phases. Normally requires a B.A. degree or technical training equivalent.
 

B8 Applications Programmer

Prepares programs for electronic data processing machines, assists in the review and writing of detailed computer systems specifications and the preparation of the program instructions to process specific business data. Develops test media for testing new programs. Tests, checks and debugs new programs, modifies established programs, prepares operational instructions for computer operators. Works under direct supervision. Requires specialized training beyond high school plus two years data processing experience.
 

B9 Computer Operator

Assists higher level classification in monitoring and controlling an electronic computer. Manipulate control switches on control panels, storage devices, printers, readers and punchers in accordance with detailed instructions. May keep records regarding output units and maintain records for stores and supplies. Works under direct supervision. Usually competent to work on several phases of computer operations. Requires a high school education, or equivalent, plus some training.
 

B10 Finance Supervisor

Responsible for supervising the operation of the accounting department or a specific section of the accounting department in the larger installations. Assigns and audits work of accountants, accounting clerks, etc. Personally handles more important, confidential accounting matters. Assists in the development of policies, systems, etc. Usually requires a B.A. in Accounting, and several years of related experience.
 

B11 Bookkeeper

Determines and audits accounts, distributes charges and credits. Prepares journal entries for financial transactions, e.g., taxes, insurance, depreciation. Maintains or prepares financial records and statements. Reviews expenses, operating earnings, payroll and other statements. Audits work of junior clerks, audits disbursement vouchers or other accounting documents. In a small organization, may be chief bookkeeper. Requires broad accounting experience and thorough knowledge of organization accounting practices.
 

B12 Accounting Clerk

Performs general accounting work following numerous and varied standardized office and accounting procedures. Checks and verifies regular entry detail for accounts payable and accounts receivable, prepares bank deposits, posts records, handles petty cash, totals and reconciles incoming cash and disbursements. May oversee work performed by junior accounting clerks. Usually requires a high school education and two or three years of related experience.
 

B13 Billing Clerk

Prepares bills for mailing and completes mailing permit. Responsible for maintaining a balance in the presort permit. After each billing run, reviews and files reports. Handles returned bills and coordinates billing changes with collections clerk. Maintains current billing information on customers and customer correspondence file. Works closely with the collection clerk. Usually requires a high school education.
 

B14 Collection Clerk

Handles customer inquires and coordinates changes necessary to the customer's account with the billing clerk. Sends collection notices to customers. Responsible for tracing owners and sending lien notices. Recommends methods of collection, small claims, lien, shut off, etc., to supervisor. Maintains files, documentation and information on delinquent customers. Receives payments made at the office. Usually requires a high school education.
 

B15 Personnel Supervisor

Responsible for supervising the operation of the personnel department. Assists in the development of personnel policies and procedures. Personally handles confidential employee matters. Stays informed of current regulations concerning employment. Can also assume other areas of personnel matters, i.e., interviews, maintaining personnel files, scheduling new hire physicals and paperwork, exit interviews and paperwork, explaining District benefits. Requires a B.A. in personnel administration and/or equivalent experience.
 

B16 Personnel technician

Recruits, interviews, screens and refers applicants for plant and/or non exempt positions and counsels employees regarding benefits, personnel policies, wage attachments and job performance, and assists on special programs or projects. May assume administrative responsibility for special projects or areas. Usually requires infrequent supervision and the ability to develop innovative and creative ideas to carry out responsibilities. Requires degree in Personnel Administration or equivalent experience.
 

B17 Purchasing Supervisor

Under administrative direction of an officer of the District, is responsible, within limits of delegated authority, for the approval and control of the purchasing function. Involves selection of reliable sources of supply, approval of major purchase contracts, supervision of the actual purchasing and control of price and quality. Requires a college degree and several years of purchasing experience. An A,A.S. and four or more years of experience may be substituted.
 

B18 Buyer

Places orders for a limited variety of materials and supplies, primarily with established vendors. Interviews or contacts supplier salespeople, secures bids and usually reviews bids with senior buyer prior to placing order. Has authority to commit District to purchase within a set dollar level. May expedite filling of orders by suppliers to meet production schedules. May investigate new or alternate sources of supply, Works under direct supervision with fairly specific instructions. Usually requires some college education.
 

B19 Receiving and Inventory Clerk

Records shipment, unpacks, determines whether orders have been correctly filled, put away, and reports lost or damaged supplies and material. Keeps track of items entering or leaving the stock room area. Organized so that items can be quickly located and easily tabulated for inventory control. Requires high school education with good business skills. Familiarity with personal computers an asset.


Engineering  

C1 Engineering Manager

Position requiring extensive engineering experience, a comprehensive knowledge of all phases of wastewater treatment and strong administrative and managerial skills. The successful accomplishment of these responsibilities requires that this person be able to develop and evaluate data, prepare comprehensive plans, coordinate activities and communicate effectively. Requires a B.S. in the appropriate engineering discipline and five or more years experience including supervisory service. May require a Professional Engineer's license.
 

C2 Design Engineer

Performs professional engineering work related to the design and construction phases of sewer collection systems. Works independently and supervises the work of other engineers and associates. Other activities include; preparation and review of hydraulic and structural calculations and model, field investigations and reports, designs, plans and specifications; reviews plans of private work for conformance to District standards, policies and regulations; review field survey; supervise performance tests or inspection of materials and processes, and preparation of quantity estimates. Requires a degree in civil or sanitary engineering, three years of related experience and qualification for, or a holder of, a Professional Engineer's license in the State of Illinois.
 

C3 Project Engineer

Coordinates the technical aspects of projects, utilizing the efforts of subordinate engineers to complete development work; solves problems; designs new models, adapts, alters or improves existing models working

training. May work in or out of doors, moving, lifting, stacking materials; loading and unloading rail cars or trucks. Uses simple hand tools and hand or power lift trucks. Must have a high school education, or equivalent, and be capable of sustained, rigorous physical labor
 
 

C4 Engineer

Applies analytical and experimental techniques to develop systems, applications or components or products. Investigates alterations in design to new models, mechanisms, circuits and investigates adaptations and improvements to existing models for improved performance or for customer requirements. May trouble shoot by investigating problems related to product performance or production difficulties. Requires B.S. M.E. or equivalent and five years related experience.
 

C5 Engineering Technician

Maintains records and administers policies associated with connections to and extension of the District's sewer collection system. Works under the direct supervision in performing the following activities: issues permits and maintains records of building sewer connections; enforces bonding and license policies for sanitary sewer and building contractors and waste haulers; converts survey notes and sketches to permanent records; assists in the preparation of construction drawings, plats, easements and as-built drawings; assists in estimating construction quantities and costs; maintains and analyzes emergency and preventive sewer maintenance records; prepares easements and annexation plats from legal descriptions; assists other engineering personnel in coordinating work activities including monitoring J.U.L.I.E. locate requests. Requires a high school education, or equivalent, and a minimum of four years related experience.
 

C6 Drafter

Prepares layout drawings of proposed plats and assemblies, mechanical or electrical, using information supplies verbally or by sketches, specifications or actual model. Needs to visualize whole project and relation to components. May recommend modifications and changes for design improvements and simplification. Specifies engineering data on drawings in shop terms and checks all work for clearance, sizes and fits. Requires minimum supervision and follows standard practices. Usually requires two years college, or equivalent , with four or more years related experience.
 

C7 Collection System Construction & Inspection Supervisor

Performs supervisory and semi-professional engineering work involving survey, data collection and construction activities. Activities include: make recommendations for design, evaluation and implementation of engineering projects; testing materials, equipment and procedures; supervising survey and inspection personnel; recommends acceptance, revision or rejection of plans, materials or processes; supervises procedures for design, construction and conclusion of specific construction projects. Requires a high school education, or equivalent, plus two years of study toward an engineering degree with a minimum of eight years related experience.
 

C8 Field Inspector

Performs pre-professional engineering field work with some latitude for decision making. Activities include: making investigation and conducting research on engineering projects; may act in capacity of resident engineer on construction projects; may supervise designated survey or inspection personnel; inspects and approves building sewer installations and connections; administers ordinances related to building sewer connections and sewer extensions. Requires high school education, or equivalent, plus six years related experience.
 
 

C9 Collection System Maintenance Supervisor

Performs responsible supervisory work involving a substantial degree of independent judgement, planning and coordination of a work force performing unskilled to skilled labor in the maintenance and operation of a wastewater collection system. Activities include: planning, coordination and directing assigned employees and equipment in the performance of cleaning and flushing of sewers, repair of sewers, repair of sewers, manholes and other appurtenances, and adjusting manholes; inspects work in progress; checks reports of subordinates; investigates sewer system backup reports and complaints; prepares reports, including employee time records and linear feet and type of sewers cleaned; supervises routine operations of pumping stations. Requires high school education or equivalent and eight years of related experience, four of which must be related to foremanship.
 

C10 Technical/TV Operator

Drives TV truck or other equipment to assigned location(s), assists in set up, operation and breakdown of complex TV equipment contained in the truck. Assists in completion of daily worksheets, manhole repair add sewer line repair records. Performs routine maintenance on TV truck and related equipment. Performs related work as assigned or required. Must possess Class B drivers licensee, be able to read sewer plans and blueprints, repetitively lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in all conditions. Two years of prior sewer maintenance and repair experience is required.
 

C11 Equipment Operator

Operates loader, excavator, backhoe, crane, semi-tractor trailer and related equipment used in earth moving. Work is of moderate difficulty using light and heavy equipment, including a road grader. Performs routine maintenance on equipment and general labor related to the job. Must demonstrate skill/knowledge in operating all assigned equipment and of traffic regulations. Work involves physical labor including repetitive lifting in excess of 50 pounds and outdoor work in all weather conditions. Will perform other work as assigned. Background should include at least two years of construction work general labor and one year of experience operating trucks and heavy construction equipment. Must have a CDL drivers license and an acceptable driving record.
 

C12 Laborer

Performs heavy manual materials handling duties requiring little skill or training. May work in or out of doors, moving, lifting, stacking materials; unloading and loading rail cars or trucks. Uses simple hand tools and hand or power lift trucks. Must have a high school education or a G.E.D. and be capable of sustained rigorous labor.


Laboratory  

D1 Laboratory Manager

Responsible for directing specialized and complex chemical, bacteriological and physical tests and analyses of raw, partially treated and treated wastewater and byproducts to determine the effectiveness efficiency of treatment plant processes; developing and evaluating analytical procedures and other aspects of laboratory operations; supervising tests to determine whether treatment plant effluent meets established standards; and establishing test priorities and procedures. Must have a B.S. in Chemistry and five or more years of related experience., including two as supervisor.
 

D2 Laboratory Supervisor

Performs functions necessary to manage and achieve the desired goals of a laboratory group, i.e., wastewater, instrumentation, industrial waste or related water-wastewater specialties, supports the district/community wastewater treatment plants, pretreatment and sampling programs. Supports other district/community water-wastewater operations and functions within EPA regulatory guidelines. Provides internal and public reporting while observing fiscal limitations. Provides technical guidance and structured training to staff and provides research and problem solving as required. .

Minimum B.S. in chemistry with five or more years experience in the chemical specialty area, two of which must be in a supervisory or lead chemist capacity.
 

D3 Chemist

Plans, conducts and reports laboratory research in the fields of organic, inorganic, analytical or biological chemistry. Prepares reports and records laboratory experiments. Assignments may include research investigation and evaluation; performing tests and analysis of products, processes and materials. Checks literature review for new developments. Work is assigned by senior chemist or supervisor. Requires a B.S. in Chemistry and some related experience.
 

D4 Laboratory Technician

Performs simple analyses in organic, inorganic or biological chemistry, records data, cleans and stores equipment. Follows specific instructions of chemist or supervisor, and works under close supervision. Usually requires two years of college with emphasis on chemical or biological science or extensive practical experience.
 

D5 Laboratory Aide

Duties include, but are not limited to, collecting samples, gathering data; properly cleaning sampling equipment and accessories and keeping them ready for use at all times; inspecting and troubleshooting sampling equipment, performing laboratory duties such as testing cleaning and recording; assisting laboratory technicians and sampling technicians. Must have a high school education and have completed one or more courses in college chemistry.
 

D6 Pretreatment Supervisor

Coordinate work of Industrial Waste Technician and coordinates work with other department and division managers; supervises industrial; waste investigations; secures, updates and processes information from industries relating to the characteristics of their wastewater discharge; monitors effluents to determine accuracy of information supplied by industries; determines ordinance violations which would result in damage to equipment or personnel. Must have a B.S. in Chemistry and five or more years relevant experience, including two as supervisor.
 

D7 Inspector

Designs monitoring and inspection schedules for local industries and commercial users, performs industrial site inspections for evidence of compliance, assists in maintaining industrial files and reviews same for evidence of compliance; relieves the Monitoring Technician as needed; communicates with industries as required. Must have a B.S. in Chemistry or a related science with courses in chemistry and two r more years in relevant chemical or environmental work.
 

D8 Sampling Technician

Obtains representative samples of industrial, commercial and domestic wastewater at designated locations; collects water samples from surface and

subsurface sources; assists in obtaining information concerning wastewater flows and the characteristics thereof; installs, operates and maintains field sampling and flow measuring equipment; assists in compilation and tabulation of field sampling data; assists in locating sources of industrial wastes in sewers and subsurface waters; keeps notes for field reports. Must have a high school education, or equivalent. Additional chemistry schooling or laboratory experience is desirable.
 

D9 Clerk Typist

Types a diversity of letters, reports, tabulations, charts and similar work. Types at a good speed with considerable accuracy and neatness. Work is usually performed in accordance with instructions, but involves somewhat complicated setups and arrangements of material, selection of proper forms and use of technical terms. Usually requires a high school education and one year of related experience.


Maintenance  

E1 Maintenance Manager

Plans, schedules, assigns and supervises the maintenance work of the interceptor system, treatment plant, pumps stations and CSO's, buildings, grounds and equipment, including the preventive maintenance program and the repair of all mechanical and electrical equipment and machinery; recommends improvements to plant systems and mechanical operations to supervisors; investigates electrical, mechanical, etc., problems to ascertain necessary corrective repairs and/or to apply preventive measures; instructs employees incorrect maintenance procedures, methods and safe work practices. Recommends preventive maintenance measures; prepares cost estimates; assists in the preparation of the budget; establishes security for all district facilities. Preference is for a B.S. in an engineering discipline and five or more years in maintenance, including two as supervisor. A craft trained supervisor meets the basic job requirements.
 

E2 Mechanical Supervisor

Supervises the cleaning, lubrication, preventive maintenance, repair and overhaul of all pumps, motors and related electrical and mechanical equipment in the interceptor system, treatment plant, CSO facilities pumping stations; checks operation by reading instrument gauges and by visual, auditory and other methods of examination; supervises routine maintenance and cleaning of work; trains and supervises workers. Must be craft trained with journeyman status preferred and five or more years of craft experience in mechanical trades.
 

E3 Foreman - Mechanical

Supervises the cleaning, lubrication, preventive maintenance, repair and overhaul of all pumps, motors and related electrical and mechanical equipment in the interceptor system, treatment plant, CSO facilities pumping stations; checks operation by reading instrument gauges and by visual, auditory and other methods of examination; diagnoses malfunctions; requisitions routine parts as needed; keeps records and makes reports; supervises routine maintenance and cleaning work; trains and supervises workers. Must be craft trained in mechanical maintenance at or equal to Journeyman status and five or more years of relevant craft experience.
 

E4 Mechanic

Maintains, modifies or repairs complicated production machinery and buildings. Plans and performs maintenance operations requiring a high degree of skill and experience. Trouble shoots and suggests changes to eliminate recurring problems. Must read blueprints. Uses a variety of machine and hand tools and measurement instruments. High level of responsibility for equipment, tools and operations. Usually requires some high school or trade school plus three years maintenance experience.
 

E5 Laborer (Mechanical)

Performs heavy manual materials handling duties requiring little skills or from models or broad requirement outlines. Works independently and supervises other engineers. Requires a B.S.M.E. plus graduate work or equivalent, and a minimum of five related years of experience.

E6 Electrical Supervisor

Supervises the maintenance of pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic control and communication systems at pump stations, treatment plants, CSO's and telemetering stations at various locations; carries out a planned preventive maintenance program; repairs, calibrates, trouble shoots and analyzes instruments and control loops, modifies or improves equipment for best operation.
 

E7 Mechanic (Electrical)

Lays out, installs, repairs and maintains electrical equipment necessary for power and light supply, machine and equipment operations. Trouble shoots electrical problems involving 220 volt and other high tension circuits. Must read wiring diagrams and schematics. Hazards are inherent to the job. Minimum supervision required. Follows standard electrical practices. Usually requires a high school education or apprentice training or electrical trade school, and a minimum of five years related experience.
 

E8 Laborer (Electrical)

Performs a variety of manual labor and unskilled duties related to upkeep, maintenance and installation of electrical equipment. Requires no previous experience in wastewater treatment. Duties include preparation of equipment or facilities to accommodate installation of new or modified equipment, also basic installation procedures related to installing new or modified equipment and facilities. Must have a high school education, or equivalent, and be capable of sustained rigorous labor.
 

E9 Automotive Supervisor

Responsible for repair and maintenance of the District's automotive equipment including pickups, vans, dump trucks and semi-trailers and minor repairs to other mobile equipment. Is on call for emergency repair service. Must be fully conversant on all automotive-truck equipment and experience in directing their repairs and maintenance. A high school education, or equivalent, and ten years of relevant experience is required.
 

E10 Mechanic (Automotive)

Performs all duties related to the repair and maintenance of automotive and heavy mobile equipment including cranes, bulldozers, pumps and power units. May do greasing, washing, and housekeeping as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned. Requires a high school education, or equivalent, with training in automotive repair and five years experience in automotive repair/maintenance providing a thorough knowledge and ability to perform required tasks. Must possess a valid Illinois drivers license.
 

E11 Laborer (Automotive)

Performs duties related to the automotive equipment maintenance/repair including cleaning equipment, washing vehicles, changing/repairing tires and flats and assisting the auto mechanics as requested. May be assigned minor mechanical maintenance work under supervision. Elementary school education desirable. Performs other duties as assigned.
 

E12 Process Automation Maintenance Supervisor

Provides a centralized focal point for the maintenance, operation implementation, training and control strategy modifications for the District's process control system. Requires a B.S. degree from an accredited college in engineering and five years of relevant experience in comparable systems.
 

E13 Electronic Technician

Performs electronic laboratory assignments involved in development of new mechanisms and electronic-electrical circuits. Sets up tests, makes reports and builds electronic-electrical breadboard circuits. Usually works from detailed drawings, schematics or sketches. Prepares reports. May recommend minor design changes. Works under infrequent supervision. Requires a high school education, or equivalent, and at least two years related experience.


Operations  

F1 Operations Manager

Responsible for the chemical, physical and biological processes in the treatment of wastewater. Must have thorough knowledge of safe working practices; knowledge of machinery, equipment, materials and operating practices of a modern wastewater treatment plant; knowledge of hydraulics and physics; ability to develop improved techniques of wastewater treatment ability to supervise the work of others and to assume managerial duties; ability to keep records and make reports. Must have a B.S. in Civil-Sanitary Engineering, Chemistry or a relevant science. More than ten years of wastewater experience including five or more years as a supervisor. Appropriate state licenses may be required.
 

F2 Plant Superintendent

Technically and fiscally directs treatment plant operations, land application program, laboratory activities and industrial pretreatment program through division managers and supervisors. Reviews and recommends capital improvements, process modifications, organizational development and policy. Performs other duties as assigned by the General Manager. Must have a minimum of an A.S.S. in chemistry, wastewater or relevant science and five or more years in wastewater treatment with at least two years of supervisory experience. Appropriate state licenses may be required.
 

F3 Operations Forman

Plans, organizes, supervises and participates in the operations and routine maintenance on valves and process equipment, operates electrical controls; supervises and participates in taking samples of wastewater; inspects treatment plant and equipment; is responsible for necessary adjustments as indicated by laboratory tests to correct imbalances in wastewater treatment processes; assists in training operators; may perform and supervise maintenance and cleaning of other related equipment and units, including lubricating and oil changes; keeps records and makes reports. Must have and A.A.S. in chemistry, wastewater or related science and five or more years or wastewater experience with at least two years of supervisory experience. Appropriate state licenses may be required.
 

F4 Operator

Operates, maintains and makes adjustments to a variety of pumps, blowers, compressors, conveyors, sludge controls, air diffusers, filters, chemical equipment, valves and other mechanical and electrical equipment; takes samples of sewage at various states; cleans exchanges, dissolved air flotation units and chemical solution tanks, unloads chemicals; assists in repair of mechanical equipment; takes readings of recording units; operates electrical controls as needed; responsible for good housekeeping in work area; keeps records and makes reports; reviews and checks semi-skilled work performed. Must have a high school education, or equivalent. Appropriate state licenses may be required.
 

F5 Laborer/Trainee

Sweeps, cleans and maintains floors and performs other housekeeping duties; cleans plant equipment and plant units and performs routine housekeeping duties. Attends lectures and apprentices in other instructional of training projects made available by the department. Must have a high school education, or equivalent, and must be capable of sustained physical labor.
 

F6 Sludge Superintendent

Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the 250 acre landfill and its equipment; direction of (10 to 14) its employees and the pug mill operation to insure proper operation within federal and state regulations. Experience must include heavy earth moving equipment and its use/maintenance, landfill operations and sewage treatment disposal. Preference for technical training and several years of college training.
 

F7 Heavy Equipment Operator

Operates heavy earth moving equipment used at the landfill including cranes, front end loaders, bulldozers and other equipment to excavate, backfill, level and perform related work according to specifications and directions. Perform routine maintenance and repairs of equipment and perform other duties as required. Must have a high school education, or equivalent, with more than three years experience in operating indicated equipment and doing assigned work indicated above.
 

F8 Truck Driver

Operates tractor-trailer, tractor-tanker, or dump trailer within the landfill or between the landfill and another District location, load and unload equipment and perform other duties as assigned. Must have a high school education, or equivalent, and three or more years of work experience directly related to District operations and possess a valid CDL license.
