IAWA PUBLIC OFFICIAL AWARD

ILLINOIS ASSOCIATION OF WASTEWATER AGENCIES

This award is established to recognize appointed or elected public officials for their services to the community and public served, service to IAWA and for their outstanding achievements in protecting the water environment.

The IAWA Public Officials Award is presented to a Sanitary District Trustee, or governmental elected or appointed public official that has made a documented, significant contribution in the areas of clean water legislation, funding, public policy, government service, service to IAWA, and general commitment in protecting a community’s water resources, or another area of public prominence that resulted in improvements to the water environment.  The award can be presented for public service at the local, state, or federal level.  Any IAWA member can nominate a public official for this award using the procedures below.

The presentation of the award shall be made by the President of the Association or a member of the Association Executive Committee.
